Repost from @visit_herefordshire Sex Education S4 Repost from @visit_herefordshire Sex Education S4 is just few days away from hitting our screens on 21st September.
It may be the last series when you will have the opportunity to enjoy the incredible views from Otis’s Scandinavian-inspired red and white house, The Chalet, located at Symonds Yat, but it is incredibly easy to book your very own setjetting trip and visit some of the filming locations yourself and even stay in that iconic house here in Herefordshire.
That’s right The Chalet Symonds Yat East is actually a holiday rental with plenty of availability for autumn visits overlooking the River Wye. And, if that doesn’t suit you there are tons of great other options including The Saracens Head Inn - Symonds Yat which is located directly below the Chalet with great food and rooms, or on the other side of the Wye is another cracking riverside pub @YeOldeFerrieInn with food, rooms and an apartment to rent. There’s also the Old Court Hotel or The Paddocks Hotel to consider and many many more fabulous bases for your Herefordshire Sex Education Setjetting break.
Come soon as the area is stunning as the season changes and the leaves turn golden and red to light up the Forest of Dean and the riverbanks and rocky outcrops of this incredibly beautiful area.
We know you are going to love it just as much as Otis and all his pals!

Kington and Ross on Wye Walking Festivals in Septe Kington and Ross on Wye Walking Festivals in September

Autumn is a great time to hit the trails and explore the incredible landscapes of Herefordshire on foot and we have two superb walking festivals coming up where you can join a huge range of guided group hikes of varied distances with dogs welcome on many.

Kington Walking Festival takes place over five days from 20th to 24th September 2023 - @kingtonwalk @kington_tourism

It’s an ideal opportunity to join a programme of spectacular walking, welcoming pubs, good food and great company of fellow walkers. The event kicks off early this year on the Wednesday evening with a free walk.

Kington is great walking country sitting on the border between Herefordshire, famous for our apples, beef and beer, and the wild and beautiful uplands of Wales.

Don’t miss the Six Pix Challenge taking place again, where local artist, Kathryn Moore, has set walkers a challenge of finding the locations of six of her paintings.

Book tickets ahead for such a varied programme including a live music event at the Burton Hotel on Saturday 23rd September - kingtonwalks.org

Next is the Ross Walking Festival which takes place over the weekend of 29th September with a packed programme of 30 walks over the 3 days. Most walks are £5 to join with a one free of charge and tickets must be pre booked - walkinginross.co.uk/festival/programme/ @visit_rossonwye @rosstowncouncil

Distances vary from 2 to 14 miles and many are dog friendly with different themes including ‘a farmer’s view of Ross where walkers will be shown regenerative farming at work as well as a walk around Much Marcle followed by a cidery tour and tasting at Gregg’s Pit. It is certain to be another great festival.

Do join us on some of the county's best walking trails for these great events. It's the perfect excuse to visit Herefordshire for an autumn break.
