Deaf

Deaf follows a young couple, Angela who is deaf and expecting a baby, and her hearing partner Hector. Unable to know whether their child will be hearing or deaf until after birth, the film is a beautiful and nuanced depiction of the couple’s journey through pregnancy and childbirth, and the emotional weight that outcome puts on their relationship, especially when it comes to parenting a child who will inevitably not be able to share one of their experiences.
