There’s a lot to look forward to this year in and around Ross. From May to September there are a series of amazing events to entertain you. Loads of live music, some drinking, a bit of art, a spot of sport and lots of fun to be had and this is just a taste as other events will be slotted in as the summer goes on. Ross-on-Wye Beer and Cider Festival 5-6thMay Ross Rowing Club

This well established community fundraising event is now in its 5thyear. With a huge ‘beer hall’ marquee, live music and food as well as a large selection of beers and ciders and a Prosecco Bar, this festival enjoys a glorious setting on the banks of the Wye.

A drama, ‘Heart to Hart’ is this year’s ensemble performance featuring a retinue of woodland characters. It’s a fantastical fairy tale, filled with fine music, song and dance that runs through the festival like mycelium. Meet the mildly ridiculous King Sessile, his loyal Royal Surveyor ‘Sloe’, the composer Whitebeam and Lieutenant Lord Leif Blower as they travel down the Wye Valley, inspecting the health of the trees and woods and all things bright and beautiful.

Also enjoy the music of The Hot Potato Syncopators and Mr Cherry.

Linton Festival is a music, real ale and cider festival near Ross-on-Wye in rural Herefordshire. Held over 3 days in July, It has been running for over 17 years, is crewed by volunteers, and gives donations to charity yearly.

Celebrating the natural world with an emphasis on this country’s favourite mammal, this festival seeks to inform and educate through art and play. Money raised goes to projects working with local school children and the care of hedgehogs.
