If a game of cricket is more your scene, Ross-on-Wye Cricket Club is a grass roots club formed in 1837 and welcomes players of all ages and abilities, young and old.
The club’s historic pavilion was built in 1887 and was restored in 2005 as part of the ECB’s NatWest CricketForce initiative. They are now an ECB Focus Club for Herefordshire Cricket and ClubMark accredited. There are currently two senior men’s Saturday teams and they have a thriving junior section which is run by ECB qualified coaches.
Likewise, senior training (including boys & girls aged 14+) takes place every Thursday evening from 6-8 pm with a qualified ECB Level II coach.
The club enjoys a picturesque location, nestling under the spire of St Mary’s Church and close to the beautiful River Wye, it really is a wonderful place to play cricket.
This is a flourishing, family-friendly club and new members are always welcome.
