Music venues abound in the clubs, pubs and halls in and around the town centre.
During the year, The Venue, located on Hill Street, hosts live music events often organised by Create Ross and you can also check out the event schedule at the local Phoenix Theatre which holds live music shows or performances throughout the year.
The town’s latest venue, the Corn Exchange, located in a courtyard behind The King’s Head Hotel, holds regular live music, jazz and comedy club evenings – visit their website for the current programme.
The King Charles II and The Eagle, both on Broad Street, are lively local pubs and also regularly hold live music evenings showcasing local bands and artists.
For a perfect Sunday afternoon picnic, why not join scores of locals and visitors to listen to the free outdoor concert series, Bands In The Park, every Sunday during the summer season at the Bandstand, Wye Street. The 2024 season starts on Sunday 26 May and continues until Sunday 1 September with Proms in the Park taking place on Sunday 21 July.
