Pétanque

Wilton Bridge Pétanque Club is located in the Ross-on-Wye Sports Centre grounds and opened in April 2021 with eleven all weather gravel pistes.

Pétanque – or boules – is a popular sociable sport in France where locals gather together and play for hours on end. The aim of the game is to be the first player or team to score thirteen points and points are scored by having one or more of your boules closer to the target than those of your opponent, after all boules have been thrown.

If you fancy giving this relaxed sport a try, get in touch with the friendly team at Wilton Bridge who can advise on available freelance sessions or are happy to help if you’re a complete beginner.
