Ross Reinvented 15-17 March 2019

The first ever ‘Ross Reinvented Festival’ was a massive success (March 15-17). With both main events a total sell out. The festival launched on with a tremendous toe tapping mega dance night. ‘The Mighty Pledge’ providing an irresistible call for the audience to get up and shake their collective funky stuff, which they did with gay abandon. Then on Saturday we were blown away by a spectacular performance by ‘The Orchestra Of The Swan’. This was an absolute treat for the ears and brain, and one we don’t get much in Ross. There was also a performance of ‘Hush Now Hidden Women’ by Feral productions, in the town centre on Saturday afternoon. The weekend continued on Sunday afternoon with a very well received children’s show by ‘Noisy Oyster’ at St Mary’s Church, followed by the launch of ‘The Lost Fountain’ up on the prospect. Take your smart phone/tablet to The Prospect and see the fountain for yourself in glorious augmented reality. This is what’s hoped will be the first of 12 ‘exhibits’ in Ross’ very own ‘Museum Without Walls’. ‘createROSS’, which organised the festival, was very happy with the events that happened over the weekend and look forward to making The Ross Reinvented Festival a regular event. You can visit the createROSS website – www. createross.co.uk to see photos and information on other things the group are up to, and please visit the ‘Lost Fountain’ website at https://museumwithoutwalls.uk/rossprospect/ to find out more about this exciting new project for the town.
