On the main Newent road, in the village of Gorsley and a just a few hundred yards from the border between Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, stands The Roadmaker Inn, with its abundance of beams, woodwork and cosy, friendly atmosphere.

Originally a cider house, today the Roadmaker Inn is owned and run by former British Ghurka Soldiers, who served in the 1st Royal Ghurka Rifles. They create beautiful English and Nepalese food using fresh local produce wherever possible, and the pub is always extremely popular with locals and passers-by. There is a large public bar with log fireplace plus a spacious restaurant which has seating for up to 50 people and can be hired for special occasions or corporate functions.

Why not pop in one Sunday for a delicious traditional lunch or curry (12.00-15.00) or perhaps try their pub quiz evening on the first Sunday of the month.

Coach parties welcome subject to booking.
